TL;DR
- The contract says you delete from the user account section. Guides describe that as Settings, then Account, then Delete account. If the label on your screen differs, follow the screen.
- Fan: deletion within a reasonable time after the request. The terms do not define that phrase as a number of days.
- Creator: the account stays until active fan subscriptions expire. Then unpaid creator earnings are paid and the account is deleted.
- If you are both, the terms say the deletion is in two stages, fan first, then creator.
- You get an email when deletion succeeds. Subscriptions end and cannot be renewed. There is no tool to reopen the content afterward.
| Who | When the account actually goes | Money |
| Fan only |
Within a reasonable time after you ask. |
No further charges. Unused wallet credits are non-refundable anyway. |
| Creator |
Stays open through the last day of fans’ paid subscriptions. |
OnlyFans then pays unpaid creator earnings and deletes the account. |
| Both |
Fan stage, then creator stage. |
The creator clock still waits out active subscriptions. |
What deletion does to the content
After deletion you cannot sign into that account or renew those subscriptions. The terms say OnlyFans may deal with the content under the privacy policy, including by deleting it, and that there is no technical facility to access the content once the account is terminated. Cancelling a single creator, and keeping the account, is the smaller switch: how to cancel a subscription.
Pending earnings still follow the payout rules until they are paid. Withdrawing before you rely on the final creator payment is the calmer reading of the payout schedule. A creator who has no bank on file should look at what Banking actually offers before starting deletion: getting paid without a bank account.
Do not email a password to a “deletion service.” The path is inside the account you can already sign in to. If you cannot sign in, the account-access help text says to change what you can and write to support@onlyfans.com. Read the
disclaimer.
Where these figures come from
- Terms of Use, deletion clauses read in the public terms (and a 13 January 2025 capture): fan timing, creator timing, two stages, confirmation email, no later access to content.
- The menu names “Settings / Account / Delete account” come from secondary how-to guides, not from a sentence in the terms. The terms say “user account” section.
