TL;DR
- To subscribe you need a valid payment card on the account.
- The help text says OnlyFans accepts the majority of payment cards. That includes debit cards when the issuer treats them as a normal payment card. It is not a promise that every debit or prepaid card will clear.
- PayPal is not listed. Apple Pay is not listed. A bank transfer from the fan is not listed.
- Wallet credits are an OnlyFans balance you prepay by card. The terms say unused wallet credits are non-refundable.
- Creators are paid out separately. That is not the same screen. See payouts.
| Method | In the public help text? | What we will say |
| Payment card |
Yes. Required before a subscribe. “The majority of payment cards.” |
The documented way to pay. |
| Debit card |
Not named separately from “payment card.” |
A debit card can be that card if the issuer allows the charge. OnlyFans does not publish a network list (Visa, Mastercard, and so on) in the article we used. |
| OnlyFans wallet |
Yes, as a way a subscription charge can be taken. Terms: you prepay wallet credits by card. |
Still a card product. Credits are non-refundable. |
| PayPal |
No. |
Not a documented OnlyFans payment method. |
| Apple Pay |
No. |
Not a documented OnlyFans payment method. Entering the underlying card, if you have one, is the card route above — not Apple Pay as a button. |
Why the card is required even on a free page
The subscribe article says a free creator page makes no charge, and it still requires the card before you can subscribe. The card is the billing instrument for a later tip, paid message, or a paid page. What that charge is called on the statement is a different question, and the public sources do not agree. See the bank-statement name.
What a declined card usually is not
OnlyFans does not publish a troubleshooting tree that says “debit cards fail for reason X.” A decline can be the issuer, the card’s online or international setting, or the extra onboarding step for where you live. Sites that sell a “PayPal workaround” are not the help center. Do not hand a card number to one.
Fans and creators also should not file a card dispute to force a refund the terms do not give. Purchases are non-refundable except for a terms violation. What a dispute does to the creator is the chargeback policy.
All fan payments are in USD. Indirect sales tax, where it applies, is added on top of the fan payment. The monthly price itself is
how much OnlyFans costs.
Where these figures come from
- Help Center, “How do I subscribe to a creator?” and “How do I make a payment on OnlyFans?” (wording dated 25 November 2025): valid payment card, majority of payment cards, wallet as a charge source. onlyfans.com/help.
- Terms of Use: wallet credits are non-refundable; fan payments in USD; indirect sales tax added on top.
