TL;DR
- Joining is not a priced plan. The subscribe help text does not charge a fee to have an account.
- A creator page can be free. A paid page is the creator’s monthly price, and it renews until you switch auto-renew off.
- This desk’s earnings explainer uses a paid band of about $4.99 to $49.99. The current Creator Center describes free pages, bundles, and discounts without restating that floor and ceiling.
- Even a free page asks for a valid payment card before you subscribe. No charge is made if the page is free.
- Tips, paid posts, and paid messages are extra. Prices are in USD. Tax can be added on top.

Is OnlyFans free?
Free to open, and free to follow a creator who charges nothing. Not free if you subscribe to a paid page, tip, or unlock a paid post or message. Before any subscribe — free or paid — the help text says you must have accepted the terms, verified your email, added a valid payment card, and finished any extra onboarding for where you live.
Monthly cost ≈ sum of each paid subscription you leave on auto-renew + tips and PPV you choose + indirect sales tax
Twelve renewals of a $9.99 page are $119.88 before tax. That arithmetic is ours. The price is the creator’s. Turning auto-renew off stops the next charge and does not refund the month you already paid. How to do that is how to cancel an OnlyFans subscription.
The paid band, and what we will not pretend
How to make money on OnlyFans records the paid subscription band as about $4.99 to $49.99. That is the range this desk has used for the product. The Creator Center article we re-read for this page explains free versus paid, bundles, and a 5% to 100% first-month discount for up to 30 days, and it does not restate the dollar floor and ceiling. If the product screen you see differs, the screen wins.
Creators keep about 80% of the fan payment. That is not part of the fan’s monthly price. It is how much OnlyFans takes.
Where these figures come from
- Help Center, “How do I subscribe to a creator?” (wording dated 25 November 2025): card on file, no charge on a free page, auto-renew plus indirect sales tax.
- Creator Center: free accounts, paid subscriptions, bundles, 5–100% promotional discounts for up to 30 days, stream tickets from $5 on free profiles.
- Terms of Use: fan payments in USD, exclusive of indirect sales tax, auto-renew until it is switched off.
- The $4.99–$49.99 band is the figure already used on this desk, not a sentence we could re-quote from the Creator Center on this pass.
