TL;DR
- 437M registered fan accounts; 132M active (~30%).
- 5.0M registered creators; 2.5M active (50%).
- Live ratio: ~53 active fans per active creator.
- Inactive accounts still inflate “how many people use OnlyFans” headlines.
“Hundreds of millions of users” usually means registered accounts. FY2025’s useful marketplace is smaller: 132 million active fans and 2.5 million active creators.
Fenix counts accounts created over the life of the product. Many never pay again. In FY2025 the company also disclosed actives, which is the better answer to “how many people use OnlyFans?”
| Side | Registered | Active | Activity rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fans | 437M | 132M | 30.2% |
| Creators | 5.0M | 2.5M | 50% |
Detail and history: user statistics.
Those 132M active fans supported $7.765B in gross payments — about $58.83 per active fan for the year. That is market-wide spend intensity, not a typical subscription invoice. Country-level demand patterns sit on the countries page.
Registered totals keep climbing even when activity lags. From FY2019 to FY2025 the product scaled from hundreds of millions in GMV to nearly $8B, while the registered fan base went from the low tens of millions to 437M. Always ask whether a chart plots registrations, actives, or traffic panels.
Third-party panels (Similarweb, Semrush, etc.) measure visits to onlyfans.com, not paying seats. Direct traffic dominates. Use panels for funnel flavour; use Fenix disclosures for the user census. Our demographics and traffic page separates the two.
