How much do OnlyFans creators make?

The honest number depends on which creators you count. FY2025 paid out $6.3B. That is about $2,520 per active creator — or $1,260 if you include inactive accounts. Lifetime millionaires remain a thin slice.

TL;DR

  • $6.3B paid to creators in FY2025 on $7.765B gross fan payments.
  • ~$2,520 mean payout per active creator (2.5M actives).
  • ~$1,260 mean if you divide by all 5.0M registered creator accounts.
  • 5,076 lifetime millionaire creators — about 0.20% of actives.
  • Fenix does not publish a median. Viral “average salary” charts usually pick the flattering denominator.

Start with the payout pool

Company reporting for FY2025 put creator payouts at $6.3B. That is the numerator. Everything else is which denominator you choose. See the earnings desk for the full table.

Active vs registered averages

DenominatorCountMean payout
Active creators2.5M~$2,520
Registered creators5.0M~$1,260

Half of creator accounts were inactive. Including them halves the headline average. Excluding them is closer to “people who actually ran an account,” but still hides the skew: a small set of accounts take a large share of GMV.

Why the median is not $2,520

Means are pulled up by outliers. Lifetime millionaires (5,076) prove the right tail exists. They do not describe the middle. Until Fenix publishes payout percentiles, treat any single “average creator salary” as a marketing choice, not a wage survey.

What fans actually spend

Across the marketplace, active fans generated about $58.83 of GMV each in FY2025 (~$4.90/month). That is spend per fan across all creators they pay — not revenue per creator. The economics page covers the tenure puzzle.

How to read influencer claims

  • Ask for the time window (month vs year vs lifetime).
  • Ask whether the figure is gross fan spend or after the 20% platform fee.
  • Ask whether agency cuts, ads, and taxes are already subtracted.
  • Compare claims to the $2,520 active mean before treating them as typical.
