OnlyFans Chargeback Policy: What Happens to Creators When Fans Dispute a Charge

A chargeback is the fan’s card issuer pulling a payment back. OnlyFans’ help text says the company cannot stop the request. If it succeeds, the amount comes out of the creator’s income. This page is that sequence. It is not a guide to filing one.

TL;DR

  • OnlyFans cannot prevent a fan from asking their card company for a chargeback.
  • If the refund or chargeback succeeds, the amount is removed from the creator’s income. The terms allow OnlyFans to deduct the creator-earnings portion, not a mystery extra fee.
  • It shows up as an adjustment on Statements, including after the original payment has already left pending.
  • A fan who seeks a chargeback risks having their access limited or blocked. OnlyFans says it tracks disputes for suspicious activity.
  • Subscriptions, tips, streams, paid posts, and paid messages are otherwise non-refundable unless the terms were violated.

Refund and chargeback are different

A refund is something OnlyFans decides. The help text says purchases are non-refundable unless the terms were violated, in which case the fan emails support@onlyfans.com. A chargeback skips that desk. The fan asks the bank or card company. The help article “What can I do about a chargeback?” says OnlyFans cannot prevent that request.

OnlyFans does not control that filing. This page does not describe how to make one.

Help text: the amount is removed from the creator’s income. Terms: OnlyFans may deduct the creator-earnings portion of the refunded or charged-back fan payment.

OnlyFans says it tracks chargeback requests for suspicious activity, and that a fan who seeks one risks losing access.

What creators can actually see

The payout help text says a refund or a successful chargeback appears as an adjustment on the Statements page. It can land after the original dollars have already moved from pending to the current balance, which is why a balance can fall without a new sale. The pending hold exists partly so some of those reversals happen before a withdrawal. It does not catch every one. Timing of that hold is on the payout schedule.

Keep the agreement on OnlyFans: the request, the price, and the delivery in the same thread. If you email support@onlyfans.com, that record is what you have. Creators on forums report mixed results asking support to look again. That is anecdote, not a published appeal right, so it is not a promise here.

For fans reading this: a card dispute is not the cancellation button, and it is not a way to keep the content and take the money back. Cancellation stops the next renewal. It does not refund the current period. Filing a dispute you do not believe is valid can get the account limited, and it takes the creator’s share. How to stop a renewal is how to cancel.

Where these figures come from

  • Help Center, “What can I do about a chargeback?” (wording dated 25 November 2025): cannot prevent the request; suspicious-activity tracking; access may be limited or blocked; a successful refund or chargeback is removed from the creator’s income.
  • Help Center, “How do I request a refund?”: subscriptions, tips, streams, paid posts, and paid messages are non-refundable unless the terms were violated. Email support@onlyfans.com.
  • Terms of Use, creator payouts: OnlyFans may deduct the creator-earnings portion of a refunded or charged-back fan payment. Adjustments are also described in the pending-balance help text.
